No hard feelings? Think again! Upset by election, President Barack Obama threw serious shade at Hillary Clinton that might explain why she lost. ‘I spent 87 days in Iowa,’ he said, noting that the Democratic nominee took her campaigning for granted. Check out his diss!
After being praised for his Oscar-worthy performance of welcoming Donald Trump to the White House, President Barack Obama, 55, is now speaking his mind more than ever before. It sounds like Barack thinks Hillary Clinton, 69, could have done a better job campaigning during the 2016 Election, as she might have taken the votes in Iowa for granted. “I won Iowa not because demographics dictated that I would win, it was because I spent 87 days going to every small town [in Iowa],” he said in a news conference on Nov. 14. “There were some counties where I might have lost, but maybe I lost by 2o points instead of 50 points.” BURN!
There has been a lot of question as to how Hillary lost by a landslide in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Those states are often called a “blue wall” because they almost always vote Democratic — but not this time! Turns out, Hillary completely ignored Wisconsin this time around, never stepping foot in it to rally supporters. Donald, however, did campaign in the small town of Green Bay, and ultimately won the state. Barack’s speech suggests that the Democratic nominee didn’t tackle as many small cities as she should have to win the election. Hillary only visited Iowa three times after the Caucus, which clearly was a big mistake!
We’re a little stunned to hear Barack being so direct since he’s known to be one of the friendliest US presidents. Barack’s messages towards Donald lately have been so positive as he urges Americans to give him one chance at presidency, but when it comes to Hillary, he sounds a little disappointed in her. Barack’s staff have also had a hard time coming to terms with Donald’s win, so the only thing we can do now is hope he proves us wrong!
