Holy moly, is this intense! Baylor Bears quarterback Seth Russell brutally dislocated his ankle during a November 12 game against Oklahoma, and the whole gruesome incident was seen on live TV! Click through to watch Seth’s injury happen…if you dare.
We hope you’re not squeamish, because Seth Russell‘s injury is pretty nauseating. Poor, poor Seth was in the middle of a 9-yard run midway through the third quarter, when he was tackled. His leg caught the wrong way on an Oklahoma Sooners player who dove underneath him, and his ankle snapped out of place. It was dislocated! Oh my god, it’s hard to watch!
Seth immediately falls to the ground in agony and starts pointing to his ankle. The injury is so clearly serious that both his teammates, and his opponents from Oklahoma, start waving medics over franticly! Talk about sportsmanship! Those medics bolted onto the field and surrounded Seth, who couldn’t stand up.
Seth was eventually wheeled off the field on a gurney and taken to have X-rays on site at the stadium, according to a statement from Baylor. It’s clear that something horrific happened to Seth; his foot is seen pointed out straight to the side instead of forward. Yikes! The injury truly unified the Baylor and Oklahoma players, who deeply cared for Seth’s well-being. They all shook his hand and gave him high-fives before he was rushed off the field. A group of Oklahoma players were also seen praying together for Seth.
This isn’t Seth’s first serious injury on the football field. Seth, a senior at Baylor, broke a vertebra in his neck during the 2015 season, requiring him to undergo surgery that ended his season early. He was back on his feet and able to play again in the summer. Be careful, Seth!
