On the Nov. 11 episode of ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ Damon set out on a mission to find a mysterious artifact in Texas, where he happened to have a violent run-in with Matt Donovan’s DAD! Plus, Stefan and Alaric teamed up to uncover the origins of the Siren. Read our recap below!
What an emotional episode of The Vampire Diaries. Not only did Matt Donovan return to the fray (YAY!), but he uncovered Tyler’s dead body (NO!) after having a violent run-in with Damon in Texas. Let’s just say our emotions were all over the place during the Nov. 11 edition of our favorite series.
You see, Damon ended up in Texas because he was tasked by Sybil with finding a mysterious artifact, one that just so happened to be in Matt Donovan’s dad’s possession. Damon claimed he didn’t know Peter Maxwell was Matt’s dad, but when Matt showed up on the scene, he didn’t care. Matt shot Damon, chained him up and tortured him, while trying to figure out why his dad had a target on his back. Damon couldn’t provide the answer Matt wanted, so instead, Damon told Matt all about how he left Tyler bleeding to death in the back of a car in some random parking lot.
Matt later drove to said location, only to discover that Damon was telling the truth. Tyler was dead.
Meanwhile, Stefan and Alaric tried to uncover the origins of The Siren this week. While doing so, they learned that Sybil has a sister — and she comes in the form of Alaric’s NANNY, Seline! Yes, that’s right. Apparently, Seline is the evil “sister” who took innocent Sybil and turned her into a monster. While explaining this, Sybil tried to figure out which “sister” Stefan relates to the most. But in the end, he said he’s both. Not only did he turn his brother, Damon, into a monster (by turning him into a vampire), but he also fights every day to be righteous while Damon runs around, killing for fun.
Sybil explained that there’s a hell and no matter what Stefan does in his life from here on out, he’s destined to end up there. But let’s be real — aren’t these characters already in hell? Think about all the pain they’ve gone through over the course of the last eight season. We’d hate to see what hell’s REALLY like.
Oh, and Alaric’s intern, Georgie, was killed by his nanny before she was dragged into hell — just like Katherine was.
