This is so scary! A man who allegedly stalked Taylor Swift after her concert in Austin, TX on Oct. 22, has just been arrested. Find out exactly what happened — and what this means for the ‘Wildest Dreams’ singer’s safety.
Taylor Swift, 26, faced a scary situation on Oct. 22 when she was reportedly pursued by Frank Andrew Hoover, 39 — and he was finally arrested on Nov. 10 by Austin PD, TMZ reports. “He’d been hounding Taylor and her family for months leading up to her Oct. 22 concert at Formula 1 race,” police tell the site. “The night of the show, he [followed] her motorcade from the track to the airport where a private jet was waiting for Taylor and her parents.” So frightening!
Police arrested Hoover for repeated violation of a protective order that Taylor had in place against Hoover, which required him to stay 500 feet away from her. He is being held on $100,000 bail, according to TMZ and his violation is considered a felony.
Taylor’s bodyguards spoke to police, and apparently the stalker “got within 25 to 50 feet of Taylor’s car”, as the site reports. When asked why he was there, Hoover allegedly said he wanted a photo and to “possibly accompany Taylor wherever she goes”. That’s taking fanboy tendencies to the next level!
Finally, Hoover allegedly sent Taylor’s dad tons of creepy emails starting Aug. 28 until Oct. 27. “Without her, I walk the earth alone forever and she’ll continue to experience failed relationships that break her heart,” one email reportedly read. Yikes.
As a result, Taylor had a protective order against Hoover, TMZ says, and it required him to stay at least 500 feet away from the popstar. Well, that ship has sailed!
