Donald Trump, 70, is officially the President-Elect, so now is the time for him to put aside his differences with Democrats and begin treating them with dignity and respect as his citizens, right? In Don’s words: WRONG! After having what seemed to be a positive and peaceful meeting with President Obama on Nov. 10, he went home and took to Twitter to share how he feels about the tens of thousands of people around the country that flooded the streets on Nov. 9 to protest Donald winning the election.
“Just had a very open and successful presidential election,” he tweeted just one day after he officially won the presidency. “Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!” Wait, so Donald actually believes that the citizens that have serious concerns about him as a leader are somehow illegitimate because they’re “incited” by the media? That’s exactly why people are protesting in the first place – because they’re afraid that Donald won’t hear their voice!
Oh, and by the way Donald, what they’re doing is called the First Amendment. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” So you claim to be a great defender of the Constitution but you crap all over the First Amendment on your second day as President-Elect? Not cool. We suggest you learn to listen to ALL of your citizens ASAP if you want the protesting to stop.
