On the first ‘Daily Show’ following Donald Trump becoming our President-Elect, host Trevor Noah is still in total and complete shock. He blasted the Electoral College for handing him the win, even though Hillary Clinton had more votes. See what he had to say!
Trevor Noah, 32, is still smarting over Donald Trump, 70, officially becoming the President-Elect of the United States. The Daily Show host opened his Nov. 9 show by telling his audience, “If this morning you finally woke up from a coma, you might want to go back.” He continued “No matter how many times I hear it, it still doesn’t seem real,” before cracking the joke, “This entire result is like Donald Trump’s hair. I know it’s real, but my mind can’t accept it.”
Then he really went on a tear, pointing out how Hillary Clinton, 68, won the general election by over 200,000 votes yet still ended up the loser because Donald won in the electoral numbers. He pointed out, “279 electoral votes…because that’s how it works in America. You don’t need the most votes, you need the Electoral College. So once again, Donald Trump benefits from a bulls**t college,” while putting up a graphic of Trump University on screen. Ouch!!! He even pointed out how the tycoon had called out the Electoral College as being a total disaster by bringing up a scathing 2012 tweet. Well, it sure worked out well for making him our new president!

He then brought up Donald’s acceptance speech, saying how, “Like most terrible things in your life, it happened at 3am on the streets of New York.” After playing a clip of his shockingly kind words for Hillary, Trevor said, “I was genuinely surprised by the tone of his speech. If that guy ran for president, he also would have lost to Donald Trump. I was genuinely expecting his speech to sound like this!” playing Donald’s speech video with South Park character Eric Cartman’s voice mocking Hillary by saying “Nyah nyah nyah nyah.” Too funny!
The South African born host showed his true fears about a President Trump on election night during a live show Nov. 8. “This is it, the end of the Presidential race, and feels like the end of the world,” Trevor said as the results were coming in showing Donald taking the lead. “I don’t know if you came to the right place for jokes tonight — this is the first time throughout the entire race that I’m sh*tting my pants. I genuinely don’t know how America can be this disorganized or this hateful.” His show aired prior to Donald being named the winner and he said “I can’t front, I’m very much afraid.” At least he’s able to joke about it now.
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of Trevor’s first post-election show?
