It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day. Keeping a positive attitude, Ellen DeGeneres believes ‘our differences will make us stronger,’ as voters hang their heads in shame following Hillary Clinton’s loss. Watch the TV host’s comforting message right here.
As shocked and disappointed as most of us may be, it’s crucial to never give up hope! Ellen DeGeneres, 58, isn’t about the let her signature comedic style go down the drain just because Donald Trump is our president — and neither should we. Ellen believes that if we take away the labels of Republican or Democratic, we’re surprisingly very similar in a multitude of ways. For example, we all have that “Oh sh*t” moment when we take a shower and forget our towel on the other side of the bathroom. “We have so much in common,” she confessed on-air, “our differences actually make us stronger.”
Thankfully, Ellen isn’t the only one determined to keep a smile on our faces. Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton agree that as a nation, we’re pretty shell-shocked, but we all care about what’s best for our country — we just have different ideas on how to make it better. Barack promised us that the sun would rise, and he was right. We’re all OK and going about our daily lives as usual.
Tears will be shed for the next few days (or weeks), so we might as well come right out and say that we’re sad that the US shot down the chance to make history. Ariana Grande admitted she cried after hearing the “terrifying” news, Drake and Snoop Dogg might flee to Canada, and Lady Gaga is already protesting “Love Trumps Hate” outside the Trump Tower in NYC. The only thing we can do now is hope that Donald makes us proud and gives the people what THEY really want (not just what he wants).
HollywoodLifers, is Ellen right — do our differences make us stronger?
