This is horrifying! A polling place is on lockdown in Azusa, California after a gunman opened fire nearby, allegedly leaving 1 person dead and at least 3 more injured. We have all of the scary details on the tragedy, right here.
What a tragedy! A shooter is still active in Azusa, CA, where he allegedly shot and killed at least one person and injured several more, as many as three. The LA Times reports that Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Capt. Jeff Scroggin said police were dealing with at least one suspect who was heavily armed with a rifle, and fired at least 20 shots at police.
The scary event happened very close to two polling stations in Azusa, on Election Day no less, and police sources tell the LA Times that at least one of the victims was headed to the polls to vote. The stations are now in lockdown for the safety of voters. Officials are now asking citizens to find alternate locations to cast their votes and to avoid the active police scene. It later became a “barricade/containment” situation, according to Azusa PD’s Twitter.
