Although ‘Family Guy’ used its Peter Griffin character to poke fun at Donald Trump in Oct. 2016, some internet users noted how they actually have a lot in common. Some discovered that their outspoken personalities and controversial opinions make them two of a kind. Obviously, we had to make a quiz about it! Click here to guess who said what when it comes to bizarre statements!
It’s no secret Donald Trump, 70, candidly speaks his mind, whenever and wherever he likes. When comparing him to epic television characters some internet users discovered him to have the most in common with Family Guy‘s Peter Griffin. Just think about it, the two are known to for their brash impulsiveness and controversial comments.
Peter’s ability to wind up in crazy situations, isn’t really a far stretch from Donald’s. The businessman’s latest campaign tornado swept the nation when a 2005 Access Hollywood tape was leaked, calling his character into question even more than it has been. On the disgusting tape, he is heard making lewd comments against women with former Today third hour host, Billy Bush, 45. The tape even led to Billy’s termination from Today. Donald has been criticized throughout his campaign for his negative comments against women, degrading nature and prejudice against women.
Family Guy even centered an episode around Donald and Peter, and it garnered a lot of attention — Both good and bad. On the show’s Oct. 16 episode, Peter traveled back in time to join Donald and Billy on the Access Hollywood bus, where he was present during “locker room talk.”
However, while most thought Peter would engage in the inappropriate comments, he ended up being appalled. Peter seemed to be in search of some playful boys banter, when he was taken by surprise after Donald spoke about putting the moves on a woman. “Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Peter said when he heard the GOP nominee’s comments. He continued, “That’s not locker room talk. I meant like ‘good play,’ ‘good pass,’ like that kinda thing.” WOW.
The video sparked outrage from Trump supporters, who argued that the show should be canceled, and the episode stripped from FOX’s network. While other internet users, and reported Hillary Clinton, 69, supporters, praised the episode for its jabs at Donald.
The show was one of the latest pop culture phenomenons to shed light on the one of the most talked about elections in history. Shows like SNL, and the talk shows featuring Trevor Noah, 32, Jimmy Fallon, 42, Seth Myers, 42, Jimmy Kimmel, 48, and Conan O’Brien, 53, have all made the 2016 election a huge part of their skits.
With the election just one day away [Nov. 8], the nerves are at an all time high for people all over the world. Hillary and Donald are neck-in-neck as they have both been campaigning like crazy in the final days leading up to the big election.
