This is BIG. The FBI announced on Nov. 6 that the department is standing by it’s decision NOT to charge Hillary Clinton, following a second email investigation. This means she is off the hook and can finally put the controversy to rest. Find out all the details here.
With only two days until voters hit the polls, the FBI made a major announcement on Nov. 6. Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, 69, will NOT be charged for anything regarding her email scandal. Director James Comey informed Congress that the bureau wrapped its review of emails discovered in Anthony Weiner‘s computer and won’t be changing its previous decision made in July. Hillary’s camp is pleased with the news, saying they’re “glad this matter is resolved.”
This ground-breaking announcement comes shortly after James dropped a bombshell, when he told Congress that the FBI found emails involving Hillary while separately investigating Anthony Weiner. The suspicion was the she may have mishandled classified information by using a private email server. But now that it’s proved otherwise, she can finally move on with her life. Congressman Jason Chaffetz took to Twitter as soon as he was made aware, writing, “FBI Dir just informed us ‘Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Sec Clinton.'”
Director of Communications Jennifer Palmieri also confirmed that Hillary’s camp saw the letter, which finally freed her of the scandal. She said to reporters in Ohio, “We have seen Director Comey’s latest letter to the Hill. We are glad to see that he has found, as we were confident that he would, that he has confirmed the conclusion that he reached in July, and we’re glad that this matter is resolved.” For obvious reasons, Donald Trump is not too pleased about the results, claiming Hillary was being protected by a “rigged system.”
