Martin Garrix is on fire lately — and things were no different when he performed at the 2016 Europe Music Awards on Nov. 6. The Dutch DJ completely killed it onstage, where he was joined by Bebe Rexha for a performance of ‘In The Name Of Love.’
It was a night of double duty for Bebe Rexha at the 2016 EMAs — not only was she the host of the big show, but she also took the stage to perform her hit “In The Name Of Love” with Martin Garrix toward the beginning of the telecast. While the DJ rocked out on electric guitar, Bebe wowed with her incredible vocals during the stripped-down performance. Seriously, you guys, it was SO GOOD!
Besides just being a buzzed-about performer at the awards show, Martin’s also won for Best Electronic Act and Best World Stage Performance. He actually won the former in 2015, to, and was previously nominated for Best Dutch Act in 2014 and 2015. This year, he didn’t get a nod in that category, and the honor went to Broederliefde — but Martin seems to be doing pretty okay for himself! Meanwhile, Bebe, obviously nailed her hosting duties, while also landing nominations for Best New Act, Best Push and Best Look. How amazing are these two?!
2016 was a major year for 20-year-old Martin, as he finally started to gain some recognition in the United States. “In The Name Of Love” shot up to No. 39 on the U.S. Billboard Charts, and it definitely seems like he’s someone we’ll be hearing more from in the upcoming months — especially since he’ll be opening for Justin Bieber, 22, on a string of Purpose tour dates in Australia and New Zealand this coming March. How exciting!?
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha’s performance? Do you want to hear more from these two?
