The ninth ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers are coming off their first loss of the season against Wisconsin, and now they have the unenviable task of another road game against an even better team as they face the number six Ohio State Buckeyes. Both teams are sitting at 7-1 and can’t afford a loss right now with tough races in the Big Ten East and West. Neither squad is going down without a fight and you’ll want to watch every minute of play, so make sure to tune in when the game kicks off at 8pm EST on Nov. 5. CLICK HERE FOR THE NEBRASKA VS. A loss for the Cornhuskers means that Wisconsin could take over as the leaders of the Big Ten West and put their playoff contentions in question. Nebraska’s quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. is making sure to block out all that pressure going into the game. “I try not to pay attention to it. I try not to let everything from outside influence what we’ve got going on, or how we prepare or look at the game. We just have to make sure we put it all together.” he said ahead of the big OSU match-up.
Nebraska’s defense is going to be on high alert going up against OSU’s offense, which is top ranked in the Big Ten, led by quarterback J.T. Barrett. “He’s one of those guys who is really good all around. You have to have a plan to defend what they do,” Huskers coach Mike Riley told reporters of the Buckeyes star. “He’s one of those guys that yes, you may need to spy on in passing situations because the threat of what he does running the ball in those situations, even on non-called runs by the quarterback, they can be so disruptive. You’ve got to have kind of a multiple plan for a guy like this.”
OSU is sitting one game behind undefeated Michigan in the Big Ten East, and can’t afford to add another loss to their 7-1 record, especially since they still have to play the Wolverines in their final game on Nov. 26. They’re favored by 17 points over Nebraska, but many prognosticators think that number is inflated.
