The first official trailer for ‘Homeland’ season 6 has arrived. Carrie, Saul, Dar are taking their efforts to New York City in the upcoming season, and a power struggle ensues between Carrie and Dar. But where’s Quinn?! Click to WATCH!
Homeland is heading to New York City in season 6, and the drama is more intense than ever. Carrie (Claire Danes) and Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham) come face-to-face in a brutal confrontation that could change everything. He angrily asks Carrie to stand down in the trailer, but she refuses. Seriously, Dar, what did you expect from Carrie?
“I don’t think you understand how vulnerable you are,” he heatedly says to her in the teaser. “I don’t think you do,” fires back. Carrie is a force to be reckoned with unlike never before this season.
Several new faces appear in the trailer, but there’s one person noticeably missing: Quinn (Rupert Friend). It looks like there’s a flash of his eye being examined in the teaser, but that’s it. The last time we saw Quinn in season 5 finale, his life was hanging in the balance. Homeland showrunner Alex Gansa confirmed earlier in the year that Quinn is still alive, but he is a “very changed and altered Quinn this year” after suffering a stroke.
Season 6 picks up several months after the season 5 finale with Carrie going from Berlin to Brooklyn, New York. Carrie is now working a foundation whose efforts include providing aid to Muslims living in the U.S. The show will be taking place entirely between election day and the inauguration of a female president, played by House of Cards star Elizabeth Marvel. Homeland, which has also been renewed for season 7 and 8, returns Sunday, Jan. 15 at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
