The haters are getting to Beyonce…but not for the reason you might think. She couldn’t care less that people are slamming her for performing at the CMA Awards, and instead, is just worried about her daughter, Blue Ivy, facing the same treatment some day. HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE scoop.
Beyonce, 34, wasn’t welcomed warmly by country music fans when she performed at the CMA Awards with the Dixie Chicks on Nov. 2, but she’s not letting it get to her. However, she is definitely aware of all the hurtful comments people have made about her appearance, and it’s made her fearful for Blue Ivy’s future.
“She is feeling awful that her daughter is going to grow up in a world where racism and sexism still exists,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “But she’s confident that, even with so much work still needing to be done, that Blue Ivy will eventually get to a place in the world where she never has to deal with the hate that she does. It is a long road ahed, but something Bey has to believe in before it really takes her into a dark, emotional place. Bey’s emotions are all over the place right now, but mostly geared towards Blue and hoping that the future is much brighter than the present.”
While many people praised Bey’s upbeat, high energy performance of “Daddy Lessons,” there were certainly a good amount of critics who questioned why she was at the biggest country music awards show of the year at all. But regardless of what everyone was saying, the 34-year-old got on that stage and completely owned it — so who cares about the haters, right?! You go, girl!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think about Beyonce’s reason for being upset about the CMAs?
