Add Taylor Swift’s name to something and it’s bound to be a sensation — just ask Little Big Town! Ever since the country foursome revealed Tay wrote their new single, ‘Better Man,’ the song has shot up the charts, and Taylor herself took to Instagram to gush about how thrilled she is.
Little Big Town is a successful group in their own right, but with the help of Taylor Swift, 26, their song “Better Man” is already doing better than they could’ve possibly dreamed. Just one day after it was announced that the 26-year-old wrote the track and sent it to the band to record, “Better Man” reached No. 1 on the iTunes charts, and is quickly climbing the Billboard charts, too.
“Congratulations on CMA Vocal Group of the Year and the #1 song on iTunes @littlebigtown,” Taylor wrote on Instagram Nov. 2. The singer wowed everyone when she showed up to the awards ceremony at the very last minute to present Entertainer of the Year, and she proudly posed with her LBT pals backstage to celebrate.
The group actually performed the song earlier in the show, and obviously sounded incredible singing Taylor’s amazing lyrics. They revealed earlier in the week that she sent them the song because of its melodies, and we have to say, it’s a perfect fit.
“Feeling really honored that a band I’ve loved for so many years decided to record this song I wrote,” the “Shake It Off” singer wrote on Twitter Nov. 1. “Love you guys.” Okay, does this mean Taylor is ready to officially ready to venture back into the country music world? We certainly wouldn’t be opposed…
HollywoodLifers, are you surprised that “Better Man” made it to No. 1 so fast? What do you think of Taylor writing the song for LBT?
