Everyone immediately started freaking out on the Nov. 3 episode of Grey’s Anatomy, upon learning that a consultant, Dr. Eliza Minnick, would be coming and observing their work at the hospital. But the person who was alarmed the most was Richard, who wasn’t even introduced to Minnick upon her arrival. Little did he know that he was the problem Minnick was asked to come fix.
Maggie found Minnick’s notebook, which had a list of attendings ranked from what she thought was best to worst. And Maggie, for the life of her, couldn’t figure out why she was placed at the BOTTOM of the list. Meanwhile, Arizona didn’t even make the cut, but she later found out that it was just a list created so that Minnick could learn everyone’s name — there was no specific order. And the reason why Arizona’s name wasn’t on the list was because Minnick said she would remember her name and face anywhere… Ooh la la!
Later, when Minnick purposely nicked a patient’s blood vessel to teach Andrew a lesson, Richard freaked and tried to banish her from the hospital. But he later realized she did it for his own good and she’d make an excellent addition to the hospital. Sadly, if she does come on board, Minnick told Bailey that she’d want to run the residency program alone — without Richard.
Meanwhile, April joined Tinder and Jackson was alarmed to learn she went on a date with someone she matched with. April also revealed she saw Jackson on Tinder, but swiped left for him. (Harsh!) He said he would have done the same if he saw her on it. (Riiiiight.) Anyway, April had a horrible time on her date, which pleased Jackson. Then, they both talked about how weird it is to start dating people again. So can they just get back together already?
Also, Amelia and Owen’s personal troubles spilled over into their professional lives, making it awkward for both their patients and their colleagues. They seemed to work things out, but at the end of the day they just got into a fight again, and Amelia yelled, “I don’t want to have kids!” WHAT!?!
