Somebody better show Lil Wayne how to Google ‘Black Lives Matter’ because he said he didn’t know what the movement was! The ‘Lollipop’ rapper then dissed BLM, saying it had ‘nothing to do with me.’ Fans were furious with Weezy, calling him an idiot — and worse! Click to see.
“What is it? What — what do you mean?” Lil Wayne, 34, said when asked by Nightline’s Lindsey Davis about his thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement. The “Sucker For Pain” rapper thought that the “Black Lives Matter” brand “sounds weird” to him. “It’s not a name. It’s not ‘whatever, whatever.’ It’s somebody got shot by a policeman for a f**ked up reason.”
“I am a young black rich mother-f**ker. If that don’t let you know that America understand black mother**cking matter these days,” he added, “I don’t know what it is.” Weezy also said that he didn’t feel “connected’ to the Black Lives Matter movement, saying it “aint got nothing to do with me.”
It seems that after that response, fans don’t want anything to do with Weezy. “Lil Wayne is no longer the greatest rapper of all time after the idiocy he displayed,” one tweeted. Many just had to say “smh,” with one angry fan arguing that if Weezy says “black lives don’t matter, your music career doesn’t matter.” Yikes. That’s cold.
Many have accused the rapper of being “high” during the interview. Others pointed out that a man known for a fondness for sizzurup shouldn’t be expected to have well-rounded opinions on a social movement regarding the ongoing police brutality against the African-American community.

Lil Wayne's coonery is nothing new. Neither is his doing interviews high off of "lean." It's a shame that many youth look up to him.

Lil Wayne actually said Black Lives Matter at one of his shows a while back so he's clearly an idiot

What’s really strange about this interview is that Lil Wayne actually knows what Black Lives Matter is all about. During an Aug. 2016 concert during Weezyana Fest in New Orleans, Louisiana, Wayne led the crowd in a BLM chant.
“We are Black America. Black Lives Matter,” he said, according to Uproxx. “Clothes don’t matter Cars don’t’ matter. Nothing else matters ‘cause Black Lives Matter.” Seems that along with showing Weezy the Black Lives Matter Wikipedia page, one of his friends might play him the video of him chanting the movement’s slogan.
What do you think about Weezy’s reaction, HollywoodLifers? Do you think he really didn’t know what Black Lives Matter was?
