It’s been a huge year for Florida Georgia Line, so of course, we couldn’t wait for them to hit the stage at the 2016 CMA Awards! Of course, the guys totally delivered — and they even brought Tim McGraw along to sing their duet ‘May We All’!
“May We All” has been making an epic run on the radio airwaves over the last few weeks, so it was only fitting that Florida Georgia Line performed it at the CMA Awards! Luckily, their duet partner, Tim McGraw, was already in the building, too, so he was able to join them onstage for their first televised collaboration of the new hit. Seriously, IT WAS AMAZING. Tim actually took the stage earlier to sing “Humble & Kind,” which won for Song of the Year, so we’re SO happy he stuck around to come back again.
The big performance wasn’t all FGL had to look forward to on Nov. 2, though — they were also nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year at the big show! It’s an honor they’ve won the last three years, so their fans certainly had high expectations, but this year, it went to the well-deserving Brothers Osborne instead.
Bryan Kelley and Taylor Hubbard are no stranger to the CMAs — ever since breaking out onto the country music scene in 2013, they’ve had quite a showing at this awards show. Besides just their three Duo of the Year wins, they also took home Single of the Year for “Cruise” in 2013!
Meanwhile, it’s been quite a year in general for these two. Although they took a short break at the beginning of 2016, they were right back at it with a new single, “H.O.L.Y.,” after just a few months, and it totally owned the radio airwaves all summer long. Their album Dig Your Roots, which still has fans buzzing, dropped in August, and they’ve decided to continue touring into the first months of 2017. Who needs a rest, right?!
