Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood were taking no prisoners during their opening monologue for the CMA Awards, and they went extra hard at Donald Trump, mocking him by saying the awards were ‘rigged’ and Brad even called Carrie a ‘nasty woman’! Here’s the scoop.
Brad Paisley, 44, and Carrie Underwood, 33, made it VERY clear that they’re sick and tired of all of the drama from the 2016 election. “This election is taking forever, we don’t care who wins,” said the hosting duo. To drive the point home, they went on a tirade about all the ridiculous events from this campaign season.

Brad gave Carrie several nicknames from “Crooked Carrie” to “Nasty Woman,” which sounded familiar because they’re both things Donald Trump has called Hillary Clinton. Brad also said that the CMA Awards are “rigged,” much like Donald has claimed about both the Emmy Awards and the election itself. Brad also chased poor Carrie around the stage screaming “Lies!” and “Wrong!”
Carrie asked Brad if he would accept the results of the night, to which he said he would, “if I win.” The crazy thing is that he’s not even nominated! That’s when the pair decided to have a little fun at Hillary’s expense, bringing out a “basket of deplorables,” which included beer goggles and a rainbow bra for Dolly Parton!
Some fans are actually upset that Carrie and Brad said they “don’t care who wins” the election, since there’s a TON at stake in this super intense race. However, we think they’re just sick of all the drama between Donald and Hillary an wanted to bring a little lightness to the dark time. Hopefully the big night for country music won’t end up being that dramatic!
