More Joker and Harley Quinn? Yes, please! The extended cut trailer for ‘Suicide Squad’ has been released in anticipation of its Dec. 13 DVD release, and epic scenes between Jared Leto and Margot Robbie’s characters have been revealed. Click to WATCH them now!
Jared, 44, and Margot, 26, had said in the past that there were more Joker and Harley Quinn scenes than were in the movie released in theaters, but we just didn’t know how great they would be. “I helped you!” Harley cries in the trailer. “You left me in a black hole of rage and confusion,” The Joker replies.
There’s also another scene where Harley — back when she was still Dr. Harleen Quinzel — is holding a gun to The Joker’s head. He taunts her and tells her to pull the trigger. She looks like she’s in pain, as if she’s fighting the emotions inside her. Um, can someone please tell us WHY this wasn’t in the movie?! These scenes offer so much backstory!
The Suicide Squad extended cut will have 13 extra minutes of footage. Jared revealed in Aug. 2016 that a lot of Joker footage didn’t make it into the movie, and he hoped it would see the “light of day.” He got his wish!
But the extra footage might not be all the Harley and Joker scenes we’ll get. Margot is set to star in a Harley Quinn spinoff movie. While specifics of the movie have yet to be revealed, you know there’s no way a Harley Quinn movie won’t feature The Joker.
The extended cut of Suicide Squad will be released on DVD and Blu-ray Dec. 13. Prepare to be even more obsessed with this villainous couple than ever before.
