Copper boom! Six new, never-before-seen clips from the Netflix revival of ‘Gilmore Girls’ have just been revealed! Fans are more excited than ever after getting new glimpses of life back in Stars Hallow!
Can you hear the Gilmore Girls theme song in your head right now? Series creator/executive producer Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Dan Palladino wonderfully revealed the six new scenes from Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life on October 28 at the EW PopFest. The scenes revealed just enough from Stars Hallow that we’re almost okay with the wait until November 25, when the show officially drops on Netflix!
One of the clips from PopFest pretty much confirms what we were hoping — that Luke and Lorelai are together! The original series left off with their relationship status unknown, but a new scene has them having dinner together — at the Gilmore house, with Emily. Oh boy! Emily apparently grills Luke over whether or not he has a will, because “if you go first, and your affairs aren’t in order, it all comes crashing down on my daughter’s head.” Yep, together!
There’s another scene featuring Lorelai and Rory, in which Rory moves back into her old Stars Hallow bedroom (again), after living in Brooklyn. Apparently with Lena Dunham? Rory’s digging around in her moving boxes, looking for her “lucky outfit,” and underwear, to which Lorelai says, ““I think any outfit you wear without underwear is going to be a lucky outfit.”
The other scenes were quintessential Gilmore Girls, showing what the other citizens of Stars Hallow are up to! The audience was treated to a town hall meeting presided over by — who else? — Taylor Doose. Another scene showed Michele surly as ever, checking in guests at the Dragonfly Inn. Amazing! And, of course, there’s Kirk. His latest job is running the International Food Festival.
