Steven Tyler and Joe Perry have been on many adventures with Aerosmith, but they’ve never been on one in the president’s Air Force One. The men recently recalled meeting President Obama and singing one of their biggest hits together!
SO cool! The boys of Aerosmith, Steven Tyler, 68, and Joe Perry, 66, got super political on Oct. 28, when they got to board the Air Force One for the first time ever and sing along to their 1975 hit, “Walk This Way,” with President Obama, 55, during an impromptu meeting after their concert!
The musicians were spotted approaching the president’s aircraft at Orlando International Airport, after having done a five-week tour in Mexico and South America. And as they were snapping pics of the huge plane, they were welcomed aboard by the President himself, according to reports at Vanyaland.
When Steven and Joe met with Obama, the president reportedly told them he was a huge fan of their music, before proceeding to show off his vocal abilities in an a capella rendition of “Walk This Way,” Steven told WESH. And following the incredible sing along, Obama reportedly extended an invitation for Aerosmith to play at the White House before his term was up! Now that’s an epic story worth telling!

In pictures Steven posted on Twitter on Oct. 29, the singer-songwriters were pictured attentively listening to Obama. “No better way to finish a beautiful South American Tour… From Aero Force One To Air Force One… The Best Welcome Home Ever,” Steven captured the pic. This just keeps getting cooler and cooler!
“He’s something else,” Steven said of his second time meeting Obama. Joe Perry also reflected on how cool the experience was. “This was the first time I’ve ever met a president, a seated president,” Joe said. “It was pretty flipped out — and it was definitely worth the wait… Steven and I have had some pretty cool adventures, but this one is right up there.”
