This is the best Halloween treat! David S. Pumpkins, the peculiar character from the “Haunted Elevator” sketch on the Oct. 22 episode of Saturday Night Live, is now featured in practically every horror movie that’s ever scared the crap out of you! Tom Hanks, the actor who played the jack-o-lantern suited monster, can be seen appearing in other iconic flicks, thanks to a hilarious clip shared by BuzzFeed contributor Jesse McLaren. David makes a cameo in super freaky films like The Shining, The Ring, Scream, Insidious and The Grudge. As if that wasn’t hilarious enough, the editor made sure to include the wacky music that is featured on his sketch. YAS!

One of our favorite moments has to be when David can be seen emerging from the well in The Ring, shortly after the phone sounds! We also loved it when Barbara Hershey, from Insidious, shakily says, “I can still hear his voice,” leading David to pop up from out of no where! Tom absolutely slayed with his portrayal of the creepily-smiling character, becoming a sensation after showing off his bizarre dance moves. In the beginning of his SNL skit, he constantly grooves alongside two B-boy skeletons while whips can be heard cracking in the background.
The original skit took place on the 100 Flights of Fright Ride, where Kenan Thompson‘s elevator operator character warns incredibly confused riders Kate McKinnon and Beck Bennett, “You don’t get frights, you feel frights!” Tom’s character quickly went viral, so much so, that Halloween companies immediately utilized the opportunity, creating a costume inspired by none other than David S. Pumpkins. We can’t get enough of it!
