Katy Perry just gave us all a beauty lesson on how to take your makeup look from day to night. Going from a soft, peachy lip and matching eye makeup combo in the afternoon to a dark matte lip at night, get the details on the ‘Rise’ singer’s looks.
Katy Perry showed off two stunning beauty looks when she attended the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund festivities on Oct. 26. The 32-year-old went from a glossy pale peach lip and soft bronze smokey eye for the fashion show and tea event in the afternoon to a bold berry lipstick at night, and we’re having a hard time deciding which we liked better.
Though she switched up her makeup, Katy rocked her sleek low ponytail (which we’re also totally obsessed with) from morning until night. Hairstylist Chris Appleton created the look, which appeared to be your standard center-parted low pony from the front, but from the back, there was a whole lot of detail going on. To create a party ponytail, Chris defined the pony by sectioning the hair off with gold wire down the length of the ponytail.
For the makeup, Hung Vanngo was behind both looks, starting things off soft and pretty. Making Katy’s gorgeous eyes the focal point of her daytime look, Hung paired her shimmery smokey eye with clean skin, bold brows and a peachy lip gloss. To copy her eye makeup, blend the rose gold shade from the CoverGirl TruNaked Eyeshadow Palette in Roses across your lid and down along your lower lash line for a softer look than an eyeliner would create.
Saving her boldest look for last, Katy kept the smokey eye, freshened up her mascara and threw on a dark matte lipstick. Since the CoverGirl spokesmodel curated her own line of matte lipsticks with the brand, we have a feeling Hung used her Katy Kat Matte Lipstick in Maroon Meow to bring the drama to her evening look.
