Now that Vine has announced the content-sharing app is shutting down, here’s how you can save every video you posted before they rip them away from your forever.
Yikes. Twitter announced that it is shutting down Vine on Thursday, October 27, and people are pretty bummed about it. The good news? There is a way to save all of the original content and hilarious videos on your account, and thankfully HollywoodLife.com has step-by-step instructions on how to do just that!
1.) Paste the url to the specific Vine video you want to save in your browser. Add “qq” before “vine” in the url, then hit enter.
2.) You will see options for “low quality” and “high quality” — select the one you want to save.
3.) Right click the video that loads, then select “save video as…” and a box will pop up where you can give the video file a name. Make sure to title it properly so you know which video is which!
Boom, that’s it, you’re done! Yes, it really is that simple. There are also some apps that can be used, though HollywoodLife.com hasn’t tried them so we can’t guarantee that they’ll work. Hopefully the trick we’ve shared above does it for you, and you’ll be all set to say goodbye to Vine without losing any of your favorite videos.
