Donald Trump has no shame when it comes to slamming his female accusers, previously vowing to sue the ‘liars’ who came forward with assault and harassment allegations against him. However, if he really does file a lawsuit, it’s very likely they’ll counter-sue, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned. Get the details here.
Donald Trump, 70, revealed that he was “looking forward” to seeking serious legal action against the women who “lied” about his inappropriate behavior during a rally at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on Oct. 22. Now, we discover it won’t be that easy for the Republican candidate. Attorney Lisa Bloom, who is representing his very first accuser Jill Harth, tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, “With regard to Donald, I think a good case can be made that he has defamed Jill and the other accusers by calling them liars. I will also say that if he does sue Jill, we will definitely counter-sue. The primary cause of action would be defamation.”
She continued, “We would take a deposition of him, anyone who enabled him, we would get business records to the extent that they are relevant, we would get financial records, we would subpoena third parties for their records, such as the ‘Access Hollywood’ recording. It would really open the door for a wide option of discovery.” For those who don’t know about Jill, she’s a former makeup artist who claimed Donald attempted to “rape” her in a 1997 lawsuit. She finally opened up about the alleged experience during an emotional interview on July 20. Jill said she wanted to hold her tongue originally, but changed her mind when he said her claims were “meritless” in May.
Lisa is currently only representing one client, but she strongly believes more women will come forward. Jessica Leeds, Apprentice star Summer Zervos, and Jessica Drake are just a few of the ladies who have shared their stories. The attorney also shared why his controversial comments are unacceptable, revealing, “It can have life long impact on women, and he should be accountable for his words and for his behavior, and really educate himself about the consequences of sexual assault.”
