Alex Trebek knows how to kick it with the cool kids. During a taping of ‘Jeopardy,’ the gameshow host rapped his very own version of Drake’s epic hit, ‘Jumpman’ — and it’s kind of awkward yet hilarious at the same time. Take a listen after the jump!
Is Alex Trebek, 76, an actual fan of Drake‘s, 30, or just really good at his job? Either way, the Jeopardy host added a little jingle to this week’s taping, by rapping the lyrics to “Jumpman” on national television. With only one question left on the board, Alex had no choice but to uncover the final “Musical Acts” for $400 card, which turned out to be the highlight of the evening.
If you’ve never seen Jeopardy before, please allow us to describe Alex to you. First of all, he’s VERY professional towards all of his guests, and carries himself with dignity. He also has adorable white hair that resembles an angelic cloud floating above his head. This, combined with his civility, makes for a hilarious Drake impression! The clip cuts out before we can see the contestants’ reactions to his rap, but we’re willing to bet they had a smile on their faces. Even with all the odds fighting against Alex in that moment, he delivered a pretty spot-on performance.
But what about Drake’s other music — the kind he’s rumored to be making with Taylor Swift? After the blonde beauty attended the rapper’s 30th birthday bash, little birdies have been buzzing about a Drizzy/T-Swizzle collaboration! “Taylor and Drake have been talking about collaborating on a song together for quite some time now,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “The project was put on the back burner because of their hectic schedules, but now seems like the ideal time for the two to start working together.” OMG, just wait until Alex gets ahold of Drake’s new tunes!
HollywoodLifers, wasn’t Alex’s impression of Drake’s “Jumpman” song pretty funny?
