This sounds like a living nightmare! A flash mob of teens has been roaming around the Temple University campus in Philadelphia and beating the living crap out of innocent victims. Keep reading for the harrowing tale of a female student who escaped with her life after she was kicked and stomped until her entire body was left in bruises.
So scary! Temple University has been ground zero for a horrific series of attacks where groups of between 20-100 teens roamed the campus Oct. 21, terrorizing students with random beatings. Six students were left badly injured and even a police horse was punched in the face! In all, 50 juveniles were taken into custody and two people have been charged with aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy and robbery over the attacks.
One of the victims was student Christina Lauletta, whose father Joe wrote an impassioned account of how his daughter was badly beaten by her attackers and it landed her in the hospital! He posted on Facebook Oct. 22 that, “I find out that her and her two male friends were badly beaten by a group of 30-40 teenagers on their way home from the Temple football game,” as they exited a subway stop.
“These sick animals held her down and kicked and stomped on her repeatedly. Thank god, the people from the pizza place intervened,” he continued. “They arrested two people at the scene. I have not let Christina out of my sight, she is resting. Every part of her body is badly bruised, it makes me cry just thinking about it. No broken bones. If you have children at Temple, tell them to be careful,” he warned.
A female junior at Temple recounted to The Tab how she and her boyfriend were victims of the mob and how she was beaten until they realized she was a woman. “Two kids followed us and hit my boyfriend. My boyfriend ran and got away but the second I tried to run, they grabbed me by my hair and started beating my head and back.” A photo on the site shows the unidentified girl with a badly bruised black eye.
“I somehow got to the other side of Oxford Street by the time they got me to the ground. I remember shoes coming for my face and after that I heard other kids from the group saying ‘Yo chill, yo chill it’s just a girl’ and they pulled my attackers off me. I got up and ran in the direction of my boyfriend’s house but no one was interested in me anymore.” My God, that is just terrifying!
HollywoodLifers, are you shocked by the flash mob attacks? Should police step up security to make sure these things stop?
