So sad. Shirlene Quigley, a back up dancer for Rihanna and Beyonce, was reported missing after making a cryptic comment to her friends. We have all the details, here.
This is heartbreaking. Shirlene Quigley, 32, a prominent New Jersey-based dancer for both Beyonce, 36, and Rihanna, 28, has been reported missing after she was last seen getting on a bus at NYC’s Port Authority on Oct. 23 at 1 AM. According to her Facebook page, she lives alone in North Bergen, N.J., and is a dance teacher at Peridance Capezio Center and Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan. According to her profile, she was a dancer in Bey’s “Crazy in Love” music video, and has also performed at the VMA’s, Grammy’s and ESPY Awards. According to NBC New York, her father said he became concerned when she didn’t call him at 6 PM, which is the time she usually called him daily. So horrible.
According to police, Shirlene’s phone was discovered at a bridal store in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City. While it’s still unclear as to why her phone was left there, her father said he believed she could have been at the shop to pick up something for a show. Adding to the mystery is the fact that he also said that Shirlene had made a bizarre comment to a friend before her disappearance — “get ready, it’s about to happen and I’m going to need you to sub for me,” according to him. Wow.
The friend also told the news outlet that Shirlene’s landlord had called her on Oct. 22, after the landlord saw Shirlene leave her home not looking well. This is so crazy. We are so sad to hear Shirlene’s gone missing, and we are praying she turns up alright.
HollywoodLifers, we are keeping Shirlene’s family and friends in our thoughts and prayers during this time.
