What is it about the holidays that make our sweet tooth come in? Pringles just announced three new Christmasy flavors, but we’re not really sure if they sound delicious enough to eat. Read on to see what the chip empire has in store!
We’d be lying if we said pumpkin-flavored anything didn’t light a fire under us, but Pringles‘ new holiday flavors are putting our tastebuds through the ultimate test. To tis the new season, Pringles will be selling sugar cookie, pecan pie, and salted caramel-flavored chips in retail stores across the country. They’re skipping right over Halloween and jumping straight into Christmas!

When we think about those three flavors as individual treats, they sound delicious! But combined with Pringles’ signature crunchy and salty taste, it might be an odd pairing. Sounds like Pringles has had success with pecan pie and salted caramel since those flavors were on the shelves last year, but salted caramel (taking the place of white chocolate) is like a whole other adventure. If you’re lusting after the newest flavor, salted caramel will be sold at Walmart exclusively, with pecan pie and sugar cookie at Dollar General stores.
It seems like our favorite guilty pleasure snacks have a knack for competing against each other for the boldest/strangest flavors whenever the seasons change. In the past, brands like Oreo have come out with candy corn-flavored cookies, and it didn’t take long for Pringles to jump on the festive bandwagon. Pringles released a collection of Halloween-inspired chips like cinnamon, pumpkin, and white chocolate peppermint. But that’s only half of the year! For the other six months, when flowers are in bloom, Oreo has come up with limeade, berry burst, and birthday cake flavors — which is nothing compared to Pringles’ grilled shrimp, soft-shell crab, and seaweed combos! Yum, or yuck?
HollywoodLifers, are you brave enough to try Pringles’ new holiday flavors?
