Oh, Miley Cyrus, you can do no wrong. Except when you are performing in front of hundreds at the Kennedy Center in honor of Bill Murray — then you might ‘f**k’ up. Especially if you are ‘too stoned.’ And that’s exactly what happened! Check out what Miley hilariously said about screwing up her performance, right here!
Miley Cyrus, 23, was on stage ready to perform a special rendition of “My Way” as a tribute to Bill Murray, 66, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 23. But, then things didn’t really go as planned, as Miley flubbed the lyrics. “I f***ed it up,” Miley said after stopping mid-song, according to PEOPLE. “Sorry guys. I got too stoned.” Whoa! Well, at least she’s honest. And the best part about the mishap was Bill’s reaction.
The renowned comedic actor, who was being presented with the 19th Annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, totally stepped up to let the audience know he was cool with the situation. “This is happening right now in Washington D.C., the 51st state in the union,” he said, according to the Associated Press. While Bill was coming to Miley’s aid, the Voice host set up to give it another go, which went much better the second time around. Way to rally, Miley!
The singer and the actor have become pretty good pals since she appeared in his 2015 Netflix holiday special, A Very Murray Christmas. “I was not convinced, but Miley Cyrus is really f***ing good. She can sing,” he said he said to a Comic-Con audience in 2015. “I thought she was a knucklehead crazy girl that you’d want to go on a road trip with, but she can sing.” That she can! At least when she ain’t “too stoned.”
