Leave it to Drake to drop FOUR new songs at once! The rapper may have just cancelled his tour, but he’s keeping his fans happy — after announcing a new music project, he debuted a handful of new songs on his radio show Oct. 23. Woo!
It’s been a busy year for Drake, 30, but he’s not slowing down anytime soon! Just one day ahead of his 30th birthday, Drizzy took to his OVO Radio show to announce his plans for new music coming in December. But rather than an album, it’ll be a playlist of original music called More Life.
“I’m off, like, mixtapes. I want to do a playlist,” he said. “I want to give you a collection of songs that become the soundtrack to your life, so this is More Life: The Playlist. Like I said, dropping in December. All original music from me. You might hear some tunes from the family on there. Just really excited. I had a great tour, I had a great summer. And most people would like go probably on a break, but for me, I just want to get right back into it. Be with the people again.”
The rapper just had to cancel the last leg of his Summer Sixteen tour due to an ankle injury, but he’s set to hit the road again in 2017 in the UK, and he’ll clearly be spending lots of time in the studio before then. And to make sure he’s not leaving fans waiting, he debuted the songs “Fake Love,” “Sneakin,” “Two Birds, One Stone” and a remix of “Wanna Know” during the show, as well. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like he has any references to ex, Rihanna, 28, on any of the songs — but he does totally call out Kid Cudi on “Two Birds, One Stone!” You can listen to some of those songs right here:
