Niall Horan has an amazing voice, no doubt about that. So amazing that fans screamed so loudly over it during his amazing performance of ‘This Town’ at the BBC Teen Awards, we could hardly hear it! Watch the performance that has all his fans swooning, right here.
Niall Horan, 23, came out on stage at the BBC Teen Awards on Oct. 22 through a cloud of smoke to the roaring cheers of a ton of freaked out fans. And the show only got better from there. The performance was just Niall, his guitar and the sweet, sweet lyrics to his new hit, “This Town,” but that’s all he needed to make us weak in the knees. He has the voice of an angel. For real. And we couldn’t get enough of seeing him serenade us (directly, of course) on stage, with a beautiful black and white projection of himself up behind him. So epic.
The singer surprised his fans on Sept. 29 with the release of “This Town” via his Twitter account, only a few months after One Direction went on hiatus “Been workin in the studio, wanted to share this song I just wrote with u guys. thank you for always being there,” he tweeted. He also announced that day he signed with a new label. “I’m excited to announce I have signed a record deal with Capitol Records USA and released my first solo song. Thank you to all the One Direction fans for your love and support as always. I’m looking forward to the next part of this journey together,” he said in a statement.
We so love “This Town” and hope it is a representation of everything Niall will have to offer us in the future as he explores his solo career. The lyrics, the melody, and, oh, ya, the sexy man behind them — it’s just a great song. No wonder the track has already peaked at number nine on the charts, making it not just his debut single, but his first solo top ten single. You go, Niall!
