Without a doubt, our go-to costume for Halloween is a cat. Throw on an all-black outfit, some cat ears and a bit of makeup, and you’re good to go. To take your look to the next level, copy this detailed cat makeup tutorial.
It might not be the most creative costume around, but if you need a costume in a pinch or will be attending multiple Halloween parties, dressing up as a cat is a must. But instead of just throwing on a pair of cat ears, get a little creative with it by trying out a full makeup look.
To break down the feline look pictured here, Boom Boom Brow Bar gave us a simple step-by-step using just two products from the brand. Once you have the Boostier Brow Powder in Aretha, $22, which comes with an angled brush and the Push-Up Brow Highlighting Pencil, $12, follow the how-to, ahead.
1) Start with your nose, dipping the angled brush in water and then the Aretha powder. Draw a tiny triangle at the center of your nose and fill it in, then use the same powder to trace the outer corners of your nose and lightly draw whiskers on either side.
2) Next, take your highlighting pencil and fill in the area between your nose and lips. To create the cat mouth, take your damp brush and dip it in your powder, filling in your top lip and drawing a thick line down the center of the area between your nose and mouth. Finish the mouth by adding a few dots of the powder along the white shaded area.
3) For the eyes, use your angled brush and powder to create an exaggerated cat eye, joining the top lash line with the lower lash line for a diamond shape.
4) To complete the look and really make your eyes pop, line your water line with the highlighting pencil and fill in your brows with the Aretha powder.
