Seriously, Carrie Underwood can do no wrong! The gorgeous singer looked beyond stunning at the 2016 CMT Artists of the Year event on Oct. 19 — we can’t get enough of her short and sexy mini dress. Those LEGS, though!
Carrie Underwood, 33, was one of five nominees at CMT’s Artists of the Year on Oct. 19, and she definitely dressed for the occasion. She hit the red carpet in a printed, gold and silver dress that allowed her to flaunt her long legs, while also oozing elegance thanks to the long, black train. The ensemble featured sheer cutouts down the middle, and she paired the look with Rene Caovilla black heels.
To go with her outfit, Carrie rocked majorly dark eye makeup, contrasted by a light lip, and styled her short blonde hair in loose waves. Along with the American Idol winner, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line and Chris Stapleton were also nominees.
During the show, which airs on CMT Oct. 20, Carrie took the stage to perform “Like I’ll Never Love You Again” with the three women who wrote the song, Liz Rose, Hillary Lindsey and Lori McKenna. When she accepted her award, she even started tearing up a little, pointing out that the montage footage of her career and personal life that was shown really got her emotional. “I think it was seeing my little guy on the screens,” she said, referring to her son, Isaiah.
She also helped honor Shania Twain during the ceremony, presenting her with the Lifetime Achievement Award after Kelsesa Ballerini, Meghan Trainor and Jill Scott gave a tribute performance.
If you’re dying to check this all out for yourself, make sure to tune into the CMT Artists of the Year broadcast on CMT Oct. 20 at 9 p.m. EST. We can’t wait!
