This looks so intense! A new sneak peak at Lifetime’s highly-anticipated ‘Who Killed JonBenet?’ has dropped, and we seriously just got chills after watching it. See the preview, and get the scoop, here.
Prepare to have goosebumps. Lifetime released a new sneak peak on Oct. 19 for its upcoming film, Who Killed JonBenet, and we’re freaking out over it! As you can see in the clip from E!, John Ramsey, played by Michael Gill, leads a police officer around his house after daughter JonBenét goes missing. Her room is then shown, and so is her older brother Burke Ramsey‘s room, where he’s seen sleeping in bed. Suddenly, the officer hears someone crying, and the camera shows the little girl’s mom Patsy Ramsey, played by Julia Campbell, crying in her hands. The shot pans to her peaking through her fingers to ensure the cop is seeing her crying. Seriously, so creepy!
The chilling clip comes a month after the official trailer for the buzzed-about film was released. In case you need a refresher on the tragic story of JonBenet’s murder, the child beauty queen was just 6 when she was found dead inside her Boulder, Colorado house on Dec. 26, 1996. Despite the fact that officials originally believed her death was an outside job, they quickly suspected the parents because there was no evidence of a home invasion. Adding to the mystery? The killer, who still has yet to be identified, left behind a ransom note.
The Lifetime film follows the four-hour docuseries, The Case of JonBenet Ramsey, in which investigators suggested that Burke killed his sister. Shortly after the finale, he filed a lawsuit for defamation against, investigator and forensic pathologist, Dr. Werner Spitz for $150 million. In an interview with CBS Detroit, Dr. Spitz had alleged that JonBenet’s older brother “bludgeoned” her to death. Who Killed JonBenet premieres on Lifetime on Nov. 5 at 8PM.
