Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone just showed off two takes on fall’s It hairstyle, the lob. The actresses attended a screening in NYC on October 18 with Jen sporting a polished style and Emma going for a more undone look. Click ahead to find out how you can copy their lob haircuts for fall.
If there’s one trend we can’t get enough of for the fall season, it’s the lob haircut. The collarbone-length cut can be made effortless and cool with lots of choppy layers or super chic with blunt cut ends, and it’s a style that Hollywood can’t seem to get enough of either.
Most recently showing off the lob style were Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone, who attended a screening of the movie La La Land together, posing side-by-side with their medium-length cuts. While Jen went for a more classic approach with polished curls, Emma chose a more relaxed look with textured waves, proving there’s no wrong way to style the cut.
Suave Professionals Celebrity Stylist (and JLaw’s go-to girl) Jenny Cho can’t get enough of the cut either, calling the lob style “the perfect fall haircut.” Jenny suggests adding layers to your lob — going for softer layers if your hair is thinner and taking more weight out if you have thick hair. “[This] brings out any natural, relaxed bend or texture so you don’t have to over style,” Jenny explains.
Then, when you’re styling your hair, look for a volumizing product to give thinner lobs a boost. If you want a more classic style like Jen’s, prep your hair with a product like Suave Professionals Luxe Style Infusion Volumizing Weightless Blow Dry Spray, $4.99, to add more body to your cut. Or, for undone waves, simply play up your natural texture by spraying Suave Professionals Sea Mineral Infusion Texturizing Sea Salt Spray, $5.23, through your hair while it’s damp.
