It looks like Billy Bush doesn’t have many options at this point. After the world heard his involvement in ‘locker room talk’ with Donald Trump, he was let go from ‘Today’ Oct. 18. Now, ‘Access Hollywood’ reportedly wants nothing to do with him and there’s more sexist footage out there. Get the insane alleged details!
Things could get even uglier for Billy Bush, 45. Before being fired from Today, the controversial TV host was a valued employee at Access Hollywood for 15 years. However, a new report claims his former colleagues aren’t exactly ready for a welcome back party. “Some producers and crew members have threatened to quit if Billy returns,” an alleged source told Life & Style. “There would be an all-out mutiny.” WOW.
Although Billy issued a public apology and claimed he was “immature” back then, apparently that wasn’t the first time he’s made lewd comments. “This is who Billy is,” the mag reported, claiming Billy and Access Hollywood executive producer, Rob Silverstein built a “fraternity-like atmosphere,” around the studio. This is getting crazy. They even claim NBC has more footage of Billy saying sexist and inappropriate things.”
When Billy made his exit from Access Hollywood, things apparently changed for the better. “The staff felt empowered and the atmosphere immediately became far more professional and collaborative,” the mag reported. As if that wasn’t bizarre enough, they even claimed, his replacement, Natalie Morales, 44, is a favorite on the set. That’s got to sting.
Billy was suspended Oct. 9 from Today just two days after an audio tape was leaked where he and Donald Trump, 70, made lewd comments about women. The Republican presidential nominee claimed they were engaging in “locker room talk.” The tape was from 2005 on the set of Access Hollywood. Almost immediately, Billy issued a statement: “Obviously I’m embarrassed and ashamed. It’s no excuse, but this happened eleven years ago — I was younger, less mature, and acted foolishly in playing along,” he said. “I’m very sorry.”
After he was let go from the morning program, fans were outraged that he was fired and Donald was still able to participate in the presidential run. And fans weren’t the only ones upset over the news; Donald’s wife, Melania Trump, 46, had her own thoughts on the tape. During a sit down interview with CNN‘s Anderson Cooper, 49, the hopeful first lady explained that the men were having “boys talk” and Donald was being “egged on” by Billy. Well, he caught wind of that, and his lawyer fired back with, “I thought the Trump explanation would be Trump was not even on the bus.” It looks like things are just getting started.
