The other contestants on Season 11 of ‘The Voice’ better watch out for Aaron Gibson! Miley Cyrus definitely has herself a force to be reckoned with on her team thanks to this guy, and he proved it with his epic performance during the Battle Rounds on Oct. 17.
Right from the Blind Auditions, it was obvious that Aaron Gibson was super talented. He completely nailed his performance of “Losing My Religion,” getting Blake Shelton, 40, Miley Cyrus, 23, and Alicia Keys, 35, to turn around. After some MAJOR groveling, the 23-year-old won him over, and based on his Battle Round performance, it’s clear that these two are a match made in heaven!
For the Battles, Miley shockingly paired Aaron up with Sa’Rayah, a powerhouse vocalist who oozes confidence and a knack for performing. The two were given “I’ll Take Care Of You” to sing, and rather than allowing himself get lost in the background while allowing Sa’Rayah to be the center of attention, Aaron turned things up a notch and completely impressed everyone.
His gravelly voice sounded stronger and better than ever during the performance, and as Miley pointed out, he was like a complete new man on that stage with a brand new level of “swag.” Plus, it certainly didn’t hurt that he also has those epic guitar skills to add to his stage presence!
Miley definitely made the right choice in deciding to keep Aaron on her team, and it all worked out, because Alicia and Blake both pushed their buttons to steal Sa’Rayah and she wound up choosing the former as her new coach. Now, as the Knockout Rounds approach, Miley’s team should definitely be worried about being paired against Aaron — this guy is definitely here to play!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Aaron is a frontrunner for Season 11?
