You thought last week was a surprise — well prepare to say goodbye to many many more. Ryan Murphy just revealed why he decided to say goodbye to Chad Radwell on ‘Scream Queens,’ and warned that there are a lot more deaths coming that will be pretty heartbreaking.
“Sadly, Chad is dead,” Ryan Murphy confirmed to E! News in a new interview, confirming that yes, he really had his slit throat right before he was about to marry Chanel. However, it was tough for Ryan and the cast, since (no surprise here), Glen Powell is so fun to have around. However, the death was about “ramping up the stakes of the show.”
Yes, that means what you were hoping it didn’t. “Every episode now, someone major is getting killed off,” Ryan told the site, adding that there’s a big one coming on tonight’s episode. “I’m not going to tell you who, but a fan favorite character bites the dust, so people will have to tune in to see who that is. It’s a shockaroo, taken too soon. RIP.”
Well that’s just not fair — we’re still mourning over Chad! Currently, the show still has so many main characters that we’d be real upset losing. There’s Dean Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis), who’s obviously a fan favorite, and the eye-candy of this season (sorry Nick Jonas), John Stamos and Taylor Lautner. We have to say we’d be extremely disappointed should any of the new guys get killed off. Then there’s the OG Chanels and KeKe Palmer who’s pretty much running things.
There’s also Hannibal Hester locked up in the basement of the hospital. But let’s be honest, Lea Michele‘s not really the type that gets killed off. So let’s just also pray that we don’t lose Kirstie Alley who definitely has some secret brewing and we’re dying to see more of.
Scream Queens airs on Tuesdays at 9PM ET on Fox.
