The U.S State Dinner is one the year’s fanciest events! Dressed to the nines, Michelle Obama looked gorgeous in a rose gold Atelier Versace gown, as she and hubby Barack welcomed their guest of honor, Italian Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi. Read up on the First Lady’s sizzling outfit, here.
Sticking true to the idiom “behind every great man is a great woman,” Michelle, 52, and Barack Obama looked like the picture-perfect power couple as they sat down for the U.S State Dinner on Oct. 18 with guest of honor, Matteo Renzi. The First Lady served up her toned arms on a silver platter in a metallic rose gold Versace gown (with stunning bronze earrings to match) that draped all the way past her toes. Michelle’s hair looked sleek and sexy as it was straightened with flirty bangs sweeping the side of the face.
Michelle’s outfit was without a doubt eye-catching, but can we talk about that delicious menu for a hot second? Notable chef Mario Batali (who specializes in Italian food) was asked to whip up some classic dishes for the evening to impress the Prime Minister, and his wife Agnese Landini. “If there’s one thing that I’m not going to sleep well about tonight, it’s only going to be the hot plates,” confessed Mario.
If you thought the mother-of-two wasn’t the type of woman to chow down on carbs like pasta and garlic bread — think again! “I’ve found that as I get older, I don’t like to diet,” she confessed to The Daily Beast. “I like food. I don’t like to have to worry and count every calorie. I just don’t like to live that way.” Of course, not even the First Lady can get away with staying slim after a heavy dinner without working out. Did you know Michelle wakes up at 5AM every day to do cardio? She’s officially our Spirit Animal!
