Yep, that wedding Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth had in Las Vegas was the real deal! The actor officially confirmed he’s married during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, airing Oct. 18, and also revealed the reason there was a live stream of their nuptials on the Internet. Watch here!
Shia LaBeouf, 30, and Mia Goth, 23, surprised everyone when they tied the knot in Las Vegas on Oct. 10 — especially since a video stream of their wedding popped up online that very day. The whole thing was pretty bizarre, and many even wondered if it was all a hoax, but now, Shia is setting the record straight!
“Part of the package, the King Tut package, you get a live stream for free — part of the deal,” the actor told Ellen DeGeneres. “And I said, ya know, we don’t really need that, as a matter of fact. We’ll just take our private tape — we got our moms there. And they said no problem. We get back home and it’s like, Woah, hey, listen…something changed! I call them up and they say somebody pressed the wrong button that sends the video to TMZ. I said I understood. I checked with my girl and she said, ‘Hey, what are you gonna do?’ And ya know, it’s love. We’re proud of it. It was love.”
As we previously reported, Shia and Mia’s wedding only cost $700 altogether, and included a singing Elvis serving as minister, a hula dancer, rose bouquet and round trip limousine service, among other amenities.
The two have been together for four years now after meeting on the set of Nymphomaniac in 2012. Their engagement was first rumored in March 2015 — Mia was spotted wearing a diamond ring, after all — and HollywoodLife.com officially confirmed the exciting news one year later.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Shia and Mia eloping in Vegas? How do you feel about the live stream situation?
