Don’t mess with Little Mix! Although their new hit song is titled, ‘Shout Out To My Ex’, the girl group is sick of talking about their past! Leigh-Anne Pinnock thought it was ‘inappropriate’ and abruptly exited the interview, Oct. 18, after Perrie Edwards was asked about ex, Zayn Malik! Watch the explosive moment here!
This got ugly, fast! Little Mix was in the middle of a pleasant interview Oct. 18 with Capital FM host, Roman Kemp, when things took an uneasy turn. He asked if the group has to “clear stuff” or speak with their exes if they plan on writing a song about them. The group’s four members — Leigh Anne Pinnock, 25, Jesy Nelson, 25, Perrie Edwards, 23, and Jade Thirlwall, 23 — instantly became unhappy. Leigh-Anne leaned over to Perrie to whisper something in her ear, clearly hinting at her breakup with ex, Zayn Malik, 23. “A bit inappropriate wasn’t it?”, Leigh-Anne said to the host and his jaw dropped… Watch the full interview below, via Daily Mail.
Roman was immediately embarrassed. While he couldn’t get a hold of this thoughts, Leigh-Anne continued, “It gets on my nerves when people want to ask things like that we’re not here to talk about exes” The rest of the group tried to calm her down but she abruptly added, “It’s just annoying, isn’t it? Just do it [the interview] without me … whatever.” After her angry rant, the camera bleeped out a few choice words and she stormed out!
The girls said she was “having a bad day” and the host wanted to check and see if she was alright. Just a couple seconds later, Leigh-Anne ran back in with a huge smile, followed by a group of people singing Bruno Mars‘ “Don’t Believe Me Just Watch”. It all ended up being an act! Little Mix successfully punked the radio host and he was completely shocked! We don’t know about you guys, but all four members of Little Mix need an Oscar!
The interview looked totally believable since it’s no secret Perrie and Zayn didn’t have an amicable split. The two ended their four-year engagement in 2015. Not long after, he moved on with supermodel, Gigi Hadid, 21, who he is still happily with. And that’s where their new hit song, “Shout Out To My Ex” comes in.
While the band hasn’t admitted the song is about Zayn, it’s pretty obvious with some of their lyrics being, “Heard he in love with some other chick,” and “Guess I should say thank you
For the ‘hate yous’ and the tattoos.” In case you didn’t know, Zayn had a tattoo of Perrie on his arm, but then had it covered up when they split.
