Kristen Stewart just filmed her latest campaign with Chanel Beauty, and she brought everyone along for a behind-the-scenes look. Kristen Stewart, 26, has been the longtime muse of Chanel and Chanel Beauty. But for her latest campaign, KStew switched it up by bringing us backstage as she got ready for her big shoot and a red carpet event later that night.
Sitting down with Chanel Global Creative Makeup & Color Designer Lucia Pica, Kristen discussed her love for red eye makeup with Lucia. “It’s counterintuitive because usually if you’re overemotional, your eyes get red and people try to cover that up,” Kristen said. “But if you just enhance a little bit, you look so alive and raw,” she added. Lucia agreed, saying, “[There’s] something going on and it’s attractive, but you don’t know what it is.”
Lucia then asked Kristen about her platinum hair makeover, which the actress explained was something she had never done before. “I’ve never changed my look for anything other than a role or a movie so I knew that I wanted to take a break,” she said. “I didn’t want to make another movie until I shot my short film, and so I was able to actually change my appearance the way I want to. So I figured I might as well mess it up and put a bunch of bleach on it. I know this sounds slightly ridiculous but I genuinely feel like it’s more fun. I know, ‘blondes have more fun,’ but it’s true,” Kristen insisted.
On Kristen, Lucia used the new Chanel Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow Palette 268 Candeur et Experience, $61, to create an earthy smokey eye with burgundy detailing. Then, for Kristen’s bright red lip, Lucia used the new Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Libere, $37, letting Kristen in on a makeup secret. “Once [you’re] finished everything, add a little bit more in the middle and it makes your lips come out a little bit more,” she explained.
