So NOW he’s upset! Justin Ross Harris broke down in court Oct. 18 as a medical examiner detailed the long and agonizing death his 22-month-old son Cooper suffered after allegedly being left to die in a steaming hot car. Keep reading for more details on the dramatic courtroom developments.
He finally lost his cool! Justin Ross Harris, 35, actually showed some emotion in his murder trial for allegedly leaving his nearly two-year-old son Cooper inside a steaming hot car to roast to death. He began sobbing uncontrollably as a former Cobb County Medical Examiner Brian Frist took the stand in his trial to detail the “prolonged” and “agonizing” death Cooper suffered while Justin went to work at an Atlanta area home depot.
“I believe he went through various stages as he was passing,” Brian testified. “He would’ve experienced nausea, a headache, dehydration, seizures, anxiety….” OMG that poor child! The outside temps on the June 2014 day were in the 90’s, and testimony revealed that inside the car Cooper cooked to death at 120 degrees, with his eventual cause of death being hyperthermia. That’s just so horrific.
Justin continued to need the Kleenex to wipe away his tears as the jurors were shown 34 autopsy pics of Cooper’s lifeless body. Some of the photos were taken shortly after the toddler was removed from the car and were SO hard to look at. So now Justin is finally showing some sadness over allegedly leaving his son to die a slow, agonizing death in the worst way possible then claiming it was all just a terrible accident.
He sure wasn’t broken up about Cooper’s death in the hours that followed according to another witness. Mark Wilson was in a holding pit facing DUI charges when the cops brought Justin in. He claimed the defendant nonchalantly said “What’s up, guys?” and didn’t appear sad or upset. Justin never said what he was in for and the two went on to make small talk for several hours until they were up for processing. It was only the next day on the news that Mark found out he’d been arrested for the death of his son and told the court that Justin absolutely did not seem like someone who has just lost a child.
HollywoodLifers, do you think the jury will end up convicting Justin in Cooper’s death?
