Thanks to pressing the snooze button one too many times, Catelynn missed a major appointment with a psychiatrist on the Oct. 17 episode of ‘Teen Mom OG.’ And she was so upset about it that she wondered whether everyone would be better off without her in their lives.
Catelynn beat herself up on the Oct. 17 episode of Teen Mom OG after she missed a major appointment that Dr. Drew set up for her. She revealed that she hit the snooze button and overslept, and when she walked into the doctor’s office 18 minutes late, they told her she had to reschedule. Catelynn was beyond upset about it, but she felt even worse after telling Tyler about the mishap. So much, in fact, that when she later met up with her therapist, she suggested everyone might be happier if she weren’t around. The therapist was surprised that Catelynn would take a missed doctor’s appointment to such an extreme level in her mind. We have to say — it was pretty bizarre. It’s a shame Catelynn missed her appointment. Especially because she had a mild panic attack while visiting her mom, and having fun in the pool with the kids.
Meanwhile, Farrah celebrated the grand opening of her frozen yogurt shop. We still have no idea where this idea even came from, but according to her parents, it’s been a dream of hers for the past 10 years. Really? Are we really supposed to believe that when Farrah was 15-years-old, she came up with an idea to open a frozen yogurt shop? Yeah, no. Anyway, it was the start of a new chapter in Farrah’s life, but everyone managed to piss her off (no surprise there). Even Simon flew out to help Farrah with the grand opening. However, when he couldn’t take his attention off a rack of ribs he was shoving down his throat, she started screaming at him. She kept telling Simon that he was in her way, and she nearly fired him. Later, when a producer asked if they’d ever consider getting back together, Simon just laughed. And then he kept eating — it must be his favorite thing to do.
Later, Ryan finally showed some effort and asked Maci if he could take Bentley for a fun-filled sleepover at his house. They played baseball, Ryan presented Bentley with a new puppy, and then they went to a water park the next day. It seemed like Ryan was really trying to make up for lost time with his son. Either that, or as Maci told Taylor, maybe Ryan finally feels comfortable taking on his role as a father because he no longer has his parents hovering over his every move. It was definitely nice to see Ryan and Bentley spending some time together!
Lastly, Amber and Matt took Leah on a shopping spree before her first day at school. They spent $900 on new clothes for her, and she even picked out a dress to wear the very first day. Unfortunately, Gary and Christina were the ones who got Leah ready for school, so they dressed her in an outfit from a clearance rack. It seemed like a spiteful move directly aimed at Amber, but Amber kept her cool when she noticed the outfit change at school that morning. Leah will now be spending most of her time at Gary’s house, since the summer’s over, but Amber said she’s hoping to ask Gary for more time as the school year progresses. And for some reason, Gary seems to only own one shirt — you know, the one that says “Dad Bod.” Maybe Amber and Matt can buy Gary a new shirt, because that must have been the only one he could find on the clearance rack.
