The most lovable green ogre from Dreamworks is BACK! That’s right, ‘Shrek 5’ will be coming to a theater near you in 2019, complete with Fiona and the charasmatic Donkey! Here’s everything we’d like to see in the highly-anticipated film…

1. Eddie Murphy is (hopefully) returning as the voice of Donkey.

Arguably the best character in all the Shrek films, Donkey will once again hit the silver screen with Eddie Murphy expected to do all the talking! There has been no solid confirmation yet, but Eddie revealed “they’ve got a good nice script,” which suggests he’s involved.

2. Shrek and Fiona’s babies all grown up!

A lot of television series these days are doing a time jump in between seasons, so can they same be said for Shrek 5? The last time we saw the lovable ogres they were one big happily family, so we’d love to see those little monsters grown up a little bit.

We hope your Valentine's Day is Ogre-ific! Who will you be celebrating with? ❤️

3. More of Donkey and Dragon’s romance.

OK, if Donkey and Dragon wind up getting a divorce, we’re officially quitting life. Their relationship is one for the books, and we hope to see more details of how they fell in love.

4. Lord Farquaad’s revenge!

Lord Farquaad was swallowed up and eaten whole by the beautiful Dragon, but surely there must be someone or something eager to avenge this death. Maybe a mysterious son somewhere? Or a witch or evil tree or something?

5. The catty Princesses having a girl’s day.

In Shrek the Third, we saw Princesses Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella kick some major butt! This time. we’d like at least one scene from Shrek 5 to focus on their frenemy-type relationship, combined with a day at the spa or shopping down Melrose Avenue.

The poor Gingerbread Man lost all of his gumdrop buttons in the first film, a scene that left us traumatized for at least three years. Wouldn’t it be so cute to see the Gingerbread Man in a new outfit, with squishier and plumper gumdrop buttons attached?

HollywoodLifers, what would YOU like to see in the upcoming Shrek 5 film?
