There may be no escape from 24/7 Donald Trump, even after the November 8 election has come and gone. In the event of a loss to Hillary Clinton, Trump could be looking to start his own news channel, according to a new report! Are you ready for Trump TV?
Donald Trump‘s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has allegedly met with one of the most powerful investment bankers in the media industry, Aryeh Bourkoff, according to three sources “with knowledge of the matter” who spoke to Financial Times. Jared, who is married to Ivanka Trump, is friends with Aryeh, and it’s thought that they were discussing how to best capitalize on Donald’s major popularity with his followers. That would reportedly be by starting a Trump TV network!
Jared owns the New York Observer, so he already knows news. It’s unknown what kind of programming this network would offer up, but news programs seem likely, Donald frequently speaks about the allegedly unfair treatment he receives from the “dishonest and distorted” mainstream media, claiming they favor “crooked” Hillary Clinton over him, and are therefore biased in their coverage.
Plus, Donald is surrounded by prominent media figures. His campaign CEO is Steve Bannon, the Breitbart news chairman. He’s also close friends with Fox News host Sean Hannity, who could totally jump ship from the network to join a hypothetical Trump news program. Donald has denied in the past that he’s interested in starting his own network, telling the Washington Post in September, “I have no interest in a media company. False rumor.” But hey; he could flip-flop!
HollywoodLifers, do you think a Trump TV network will actually happen? And will you watch? Tell us in the comments!
