A former bodyguard for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is giving us a little more insight into what the A-listers’ lives were like as a married couple. Things clearly didn’t work out for the two, but they do have at least one thing in common: They’re incredibly protective and concerned about the kids.
“I was Brad and Angelina’s head of security. The military set me up perfectly for what I did with them,” Mark (Billy) Billingham tells The Sun. “The biggest concern for them was the kidnapping of the kids. It’s all about the money.”
Obviously, having six kids in the spotlight is a lot to handle, so we don’t blame Brad and Angelina for having such a big fear of something going wrong. “Angie and Brad are very worried about who goes near their children,” Billy adds, revealing that he got very close to the kids and basically “fathered them” while he worked for the pair. And, apparently, Brangelina had a right to be so fearful of kidnapping or something of the sort: “We had stalkers in Chicago and New York, which I had to deal with,” Billy admits.
But even though the two obviously care very much for their kids, it was reportedly their different parenting styles that ultimately led them to divorce after two years of marriage. Now, the exes are in the middle of working out some sort of custody situation, with Brad only allowed supervised visits with his kids until a temporary court order expires on Oct. 20.
The actress originally asked for sole physical custody of the six children, however, as we previously reported, the pair have been in quiet negotiations with their top notch lawyers to decide on an agreement. We have not seen either of them in public since Angelina filed for divorce in mid September.
HollywoodLifers, are you shocked by Brad and Angie’s biggest fear? Do you think they’ll work something out when it comes to custody of the kids?
