Oncers are finally learning the untold story of Jekyll and Hyde on the Oct. 16 episode of ‘Once Upon A Time.’ Plus, how will Hook and Emma’s relationship change now that Hook’s moving in? Read our recap now!
Rumple returned ready for an all-new look. After six seasons, Rumple cut his long locks OFF! The Evil Queen really liked what she saw. She’s not giving up on Rumple yet, even though he continues to reject her advances. Hyde warned Rumple that changing his appearance wouldn’t be able to help him. When Rumple tried to kill Hyde, nothing happened. Rumple quickly realized that Hyde was going to be a bigger problem than he thought. Hyde may have struck a deal with the Evil Queen, but not with Rumple.
Back in the past, Jekyll tried to get a membership to an academy, but failed miserably. His controversial work was considered dangerous. Rumple showed up to stir up trouble. Jekyll drank his own serum, with Rumple watching. Jekyll made his grand entrance as Hyde, and he made quite the statement. Later, Hyde went rogue and kissed Mary! When Mary awoke, she found Jekyll in her bed. Mary told Jekyll she would never love him; she was in love with Hyde. Mary and Jekyll had a scuffle, which ended with him pushing her out the window! It was JEKYLL who killed Mary, not Hyde!
In the present, Hyde found Jekyll with the Evil Queen’s help to get his hands on Jekyll’s new serum. Thankfully, Jekyll saved a little extra. But Rumple, of course, just had to double cross Regina and Jekyll. He was willing to protect Belle at all costs.
Charming proved once again that he’s the most adorable dad to Emma. He was a little concerned about Hook moving in with Emma. Aw! Hook took his things from the Jolly Roger and gave Belle a little something to let her know he would be there if she ever needed him. Rumple assured Hook that Belle wouldn’t need any protection. He cast a spell preventing her from leaving the boat!
Hook kept Belle company on the boat until Jekyll showed up and told them about what Rumple and Hyde had done. Hook ran to Emma, of course. Emma and Charming encountered Hyde in the woods and put up a fight. Rumple arrived and stabbed Hyde in the chest with the dagger. Once again, Hyde one-upped everyone. He had switched the vials!
Snow started teaching again, but she was having trouble reaching the kids. One of her co-workers was Jasmine! Jasmine gave Snow just the right amount of encouragement to get back on track. Later, Jasmine found the Oracle and asked if she knew where Aladdin was. She had traveled to Storybrooke to find him!
Jekyll went after Belle on the boat, but she proved once again that she would always be a fighter. He nearly killed her, but Hook saved the day. Hook pushed Jekyll into an anchor, killing him. Just when Hyde thought Jekyll was gone for good, he began feeling the effects as well. Jekyll and Hyde were no more. In the midst of all this, Rumple realized that the only way to take out the Evil Queen is to kill Regina.
Regina made Emma promise to do whatever was necessary to keep her loved ones safe, just like Emma made Regina do in Camelot. Meanwhile, Belle ripped Rumple a new one for continuing to put everyone in danger. Rumple admitted that he did all this because of her. He used the serum to try and rid himself of his feelings of Belle. But it didn’t work. Belle didn’t want to hear any of his excuses. She called him out for his selfishness. That’s when Rumple snapped. “If you want what’s best for him, you will come back to me,” he threatened.
